The truth about music distribution
distro.fyi
The Most Accurate Music Distribution & Royalty Intelligence Platform
Compare distributors, analyze streaming payouts, and estimate royalties across Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, TikTok, Deezer, Tidal, and more — using anonymized real-world royalty averages, not recycled industry guesses.
Why distro.fyi exists
Most royalty calculators are guessing. We measured.
Most royalty calculators rely on generic, outdated industry estimates. distro.fyi computes platform and territory payout averages from anonymized real-world royalty statement data — so artists, labels, and managers can make decisions with numbers that reflect how streaming actually pays.
Real statement data
Every rate on this site is a volume-weighted average computed from actual distributor royalty statements — not a press-release per-stream figure.
Privacy by design
No song-level data is exposed. No artist-level data is exposed. No private royalty statements are visible. Only anonymous payout averages and platform intelligence.
Territory-aware
A stream in Norway and a stream in Nigeria are not worth the same. We break payouts down by platform and country, because that's where the real variance lives.
Distributor database
Compare music distributors
Real distributor reviews: pricing, commission, splits, Content ID, publishing, and who each one is actually for. Pricing is approximate and changes often — always verify on the distributor's site.

Methodology
How these numbers are made
01 — Payouts vary by DSP
Every platform runs its own royalty pool, subscription pricing, and ad economics. A platform's "per-stream rate" is an output of those economics, not a fixed price.
02 — Payouts vary by territory
Subscription prices, ad rates, and currency values differ by market, so the same platform pays very differently across countries.
03 — Stream type matters
Subscription (premium) streams generally pay more than ad-supported streams. Aggregate averages blend both, weighted by how listening actually happened.
04 — Distributors take a cut
Distributor fees and commissions affect what hits your account. Our averages reflect post-store, pre-tax statement values; your distributor's terms apply on top.
05 — Real-world friction
Taxes, currency conversion, withheld songwriter royalties, adjustments, and reporting delays can all move final numbers.
06 — Anonymized aggregates only
Rates are volume-weighted averages (earnings ÷ streams) computed from anonymized royalty statement data. Groups below minimum sample thresholds are excluded entirely so no individual record can be reconstructed. Values are rounded.
07 — Estimates, not guarantees
Historical averages are not future payouts. Use these numbers for planning and comparison, not as promised income.
